However, when you are checking out flight status and schedules for Hyderabad, make sure you give yourself at least a week or else you might miss out on some of the must visit places here. There are so many things to explore in the city that going for just 3 days might make it a very tight itinerary. You also need to understand that food is best when it comes after a spell of sightseeing.
But before you leave home, here are some things that you must plan for during your Hyderabad trip.
1. Charminar
Charminar literally translates to four minarets and is the global icon of Hyderabad. Its beauty speaks for itself. If you ever visit Hyderabad, you cannot miss going here. Many local festivals are celebrated here, including Eid. Qutb Shah, who built the Charminar, was also a poet who used to write in Dakhini Urdu. He transformed prayers into Dakhini couplets, of which one is: “Fill this city of mine with people as You filled the river with fishes, O Lord.”
2. Ramoji Film City
Ramoji Film City is the world’s largest film studio and it definitely is a must see. It is amazingly spread over 200 acres of land and includes almost every environment or setting that a film might need. Did you know that the hugely famous Bahubali films were shot right here? This place offers a lot of fun for people of all ages, especially if you are a film buff.
3. Hyderabadi Biryani
How can you miss out on this when in Hyderabad? Biryani is one of the favourite dishes all over India and if you haven’t tried the Hyderabadi style of biryani, you haven’t tried anything yet! In Hyderabad, the biryani is cooked a special way, with aromatic spices layered through rice. The most famous biryani of the city is undoubtedly made at Paradise, a restaurant very close to the Charminar.
Of course, there is much more to do and see in this city. There is the Salarjung Museum and the Golconda Fort, which has light and sound shows every day. So, first research on everything you want to do while in Hyderabad and only then check for the flight status and schedules.
